CDG provided a variety of services for this 13.5 mile design build roadway project in northwest Arizona. The project involved reconstruction and widening of an existing two-lane road into a four-lane roadway, from Golden Valley to Bullhead City. CDG worked closely with several agencies to preserve the unique vegetation and environmental resources of the corridor. Agencies included the Federal Highway Administration, the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) and the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). The teamwork approach ensured that disturbances would be minimized and mitigated during construction through special efforts and environmental awareness training.
CDG design included the preparation of a corridor wide native plant inventory and restoration plan, topsoil management plans, preparing details for the mitigation of rock cut/fill slopes, seeding and re-vegetation plans and the development and implementation of an Environmental Training program for all construction personnel on the project in coordination with ADOT and the BLM.
